What to Expect

Dar Alfann is a stunning two-story house that beautifully blends traditional Bahraini architecture with artistic expression. Its pearl-coloured walls, intricate wooden doors, and glass accents reflect the rich heritage of the region. At the heart of the house is a tranquil courtyard, featuring a lush green tree, and surrounding rooms filled with cosy nooks. The walls of the courtyard are covered with vibrant paintings, while one room showcases historic photographs of Muharraq’s past.

A dedicated mural to Mahmoud Darwish’s poetry invites visitors to listen to his verses recited in his own voice. The second floor offers a serene space, with white floor seating and a glass ceiling that fills the space with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Arch-shaped engravings and glass etchings add to the house's artistic charm.
