What to Expect

Spread across 3 kilometres, the white sands of Bilaj al Jazayer are an inviting contrast to the clear turquoise waters. With plenty of activities, from sunbathing to building sandcastles, there is something for everyone. Apart from enjoying a cool dip in the crystal-clear waters, one can also enjoy various water sports, or team up to play football or volleyball on the golden sands. Snorkelling enthusiasts shouldn’t miss the opportunity to discover the friendly fish and other marine creatures found here.

If you haven't packed a picnic, no need to worry, as there are food stalls and cafes on the beach serving burgers, pizzas, and hot and cold beverages. There is also a play area for children, a ten-kilometre bike path for cyclists and plenty of places to take beautiful photographs.

For a small charge, you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as boats and jet skis. It also has a prayer area, a first aid clinic, and three lifeguard towers strategically located along the beach as well as restroom and shower facilities for both men and women.

For a family or group of 4-5 friends who want to spend a longer time at the beach, there are chalets available for rent. With 2-3 rooms, a children's park, a barbeque stand, and quick access to the beach among other amenities.
